The last release of this beloved series was Spyro Reignited Trilogy released in 2018 which included remasters of the original games that arrived on the PlayStation from 1998 to 2000. Yet, in terms of actual new games, we’d have to venture a decade prior to the remastered trilogy with The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon in 2008.

original Spyro 3 had adaptive difficulty - the more you do and collect without dying, the harder the game becomes. Reignited doesn't have that feature and so the game is always in "normal" state. it makes third game in trilogy way easier for veteran players because game no longer is getting harder the better you play.
