After drawing fuel through the filter and connecting the lines up, switch the Ignition on for a few seconds then switch it off for a few seconds, repeat that about 5 times and it should fire up almost right away.
Nope, not true for either point It's recommended replacement every 25k or so, but they can block up sooner than that. Fortunately, the filter on these is much cheaper than the one on the Mk2 1.6 TDCi.
