Clear Android Auto app cache and data. Then uninstall it and reinstall it. Also, I know you think you don't think it's the cable but try another anyways. I initially had the issue of Android Auto disconnecting randomly. I also swore it can't be the cable. Then got a new one and haven't had that problem since. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Once disconnected, it automatically tried to re-connect to a car but in vain. I have to manually pull out the cable from USB port and put it back to USB port.

Android Auto interface in Hyundai. Android Auto not working on Hyundai Ioniq. If Android Auto does not start on your Ioniq when you plug in the USB cable and there is no Android Auto icon in the list of apps in the infotainment system, it can be due to a number of reasons: Android Auto is disabled in the infotainment system settings of your
Before anything, the update to the recently released Android Auto 5.5 doesn’t seem to make any difference, as both this version and 5.4 appear to be broken on Huawei phones. So what you need to
thanks Bob, when I push the home button, i see what you see now. I guess before you could see the android auto icon (greyed out) when it wasn't connected. From what I can see, i only can see the android auto appears on the home screen when the cable is connected. 2. Touch the big Android Auto widget on the home screen and it takes you to another screen to connect your phone for screen projection. 3. Press connect and the car and phone will connect wirelessly (note, the phones name may or may not be highlighted - it doesn't matter) 4.
I got a new cable and it works. I already had debugging enabled so it connected first thing. Disabled and it wasn't connecting, kept flashing connected as charging then disappearing. So then I reenabled debugging and selected connect as midi for USB options. It still connects as charging but now I can disable debugging and Android auto works.

I have a 2018 Elantra and it doesn't have wireless AA. I'm going to guess that's the issue with your 2017. 3. shmykelsa. • 3 yr. ago. Android Auto made is debut in late 2018. I reckon there's not a single 2018 car that has Android Auto wireless. So you have to look for this features in models from 2019 onward. 67K.
try a new Anker cable. clean out usb C port. set default USB mode in developer settings. turn off battery optimization for AA. turn on (and then off) USB debugging. check that AA is enabled on the head unit. Nothing worked, and then I found my clue: search Android Auto in the settings menu and choose "connection help".
The fix that worked for me: uninstall & reinstall the Pandora app. I tried everything to try to fix this; restarting my phone, clearing cache & data on both my Pandora app and Android Auto app, making sure there were no battery use restrictions in the battery settings, checking for updates, etc.
